Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Very good not great, I shared the Vegetarian Korma and Chana Saag. I loved that the Vegetarian Korma had Paneer in it. The flavor was a little too rich for my taste. I think there was too much butter/cream in it. I would definitely get this again."
"This is our new favorite place to go for lunch. We’ve been here three times now and each time the food has been phenomenal. Love the ability to choose the spice level (1-10) and everything has been flavorful and delicious. Best Indian restaurant in town."
"My wife and I love this spot. It's close by home and has the best chicken momos (dumplings) and butter chicken is also tasty with garlic naan and their rice is always all around good. Just come and expect to wait a little for the food but you cannot rush quality food. (:"
"Butter chicken, Lamb Tikka Masala and the Mixed Tadoori was fantastic! And the Naan basket...FABULOUS! We have been looking for a good Indian restaurant! This is ours! Service is SUPER SLOW is my only complaint. Close to an hour of our time there was spent waiting to ask if we needed to be seated, waiting to order...and for what we ordered. Need to be more attentive. One person was in charge of EVERYTHING! Add padding to benches and chairs. Very uncomfortable seats."
"We ordered catering and it was excellent in every aspect. The quality of the food, the quantity provided and overall value. The restaurant staff were also so friendly and professional. Everyone at the party commented on how delicious the food was. We are so happy with our experience. Will definitely be visiting more often."
"Love this place. A gem in Sioux Falls. Stumbled upon this place randomly and couldn't be happier. Personally, feels very close to authentic. So many options! This is my second time and I'm glad this restaurant exists coz I need it for next 3-4 years"
"We visited Indian Oven after hearing great things, and overall it was a very good experience. The lamb curry was especially delicious—rich, flavorful, and definitely a highlight of the meal. What fell a little short for me was the garlic naan. If I’m craving really good garlic naan, I’d still make the trip across town to Shai Palace. Indian Oven’s version didn’t have much garlic flavor, and I found myself wishing for a bit more of that classic punch. One thing that stood out, though, is their menu. They offer several dishes I haven’t seen at other Indian restaurants in town, which makes me want to go back and try something new next time. The environment feels a little more like fast food—simple, straightforward—but it’s not actually fast food. You can sit down and dine or order to go. I’d definitely go back if I’m in the area, especially to explore more of their unique offerings."
"GO TRY THIS PLACE! Oh my gosh everything was amazing. I had Samosa Chat, Chicken Biriana and Garlic Naan. The samosa chat has raw jalapeños which is not on the menu, so If you dislike heat just know that. Seriously amazing. Enjoy!"
